Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how DualFormat, also published under the DualShot Recorder app listing, handles your information.

DualFormat is a camera app that records video on your device and saves the finished videos to your Photos library.

Information We Collect

DualFormat does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information. The app does not require an account, sign-in, email address, or other personally identifiable information to use its recording features.

Data Stored on Your Device

Videos you record are processed locally on your device. Finished recordings are saved to your Photos library only when you grant Photos add-only permission.

The app may also store local settings on your device, such as selected capture mode, resolution, frame rate, and whether you have unlocked Pro features. These settings stay on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.

Camera and Microphone Access

DualFormat requests camera and microphone access so you can record video and audio. Camera and microphone data is used only for recording inside the app. The app does not transmit your audio or video off your device.

You can revoke camera or microphone access at any time in iOS Settings. If you revoke access, recording features may not work.

Photos Access

DualFormat requests Photos access to save your finished recordings to your Photos library and to display a thumbnail of your latest recording or photo inside the app. This read access is used only to show the thumbnail on-device — your photos and videos are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared. The app does not scan or access any other media in your library beyond what is needed to show that thumbnail.

No Analytics or Tracking

DualFormat does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking tools, or App Tracking Transparency tracking. We do not track you across apps or websites.

Purchases

DualFormat may offer a one-time in-app purchase to unlock Pro features. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment card details.

Children's Privacy

DualFormat is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
